Presidential Election Watch Party

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, PVCC students, faculty, and staff sat in the North Mall Meeting Room on PVCC’s main campus with eyes glued to the projector screen. Anxiety was high as each individual in the room waited for the results of the 2016 presidential election.
The Student Government Association and Virginia21 sponsored event started out as an election party. Snacks, drinks, and patriotic cupcakes were available to add to the excitement. However, as the night went on and the results seemed to grow farther away, people began to grow restless and anxious.
The event wrapped up around 10:30 p.m., before final results about the election were announced.
